Bruno Aguilar
Story
Native to Mexico City but raised across Latin America and the United States, Bruno Aguilar (b. 1998) is a Mexican-Dutch photographer whose primary focus is the right to self-determination. Through intimate portraiture, he explores the universal mosaic of underrepresented identities in a changing world, delving into themes of belonging, detachment, refuge, home, opportunity, memory, family, and distance. These narratives aim to accentuate the borderless elements of the global southern persona. His wish is to unite global southern communities who encounter parallel experiences.
