BRIEF
Cobra Museum presented the first retrospective in the Netherlands of Alberto Korda, the photographer behind the Che Guevara portrait, one of the most reproduced images in history. The challenge: expand Korda’s legacy beyond the single image that defined him
METHOD
A social-first campaign reframed Korda’s archive beyond the Che portrait, revealing work spanning fashion, advertising, revolutionary leadership, Cuban daily life, and wildlife photography.
IMPACT
The campaign drove strong audience engagement and positioned the exhibition as a cultural conversation point. It sparked public debate around Cuban heritage, nationhood, and the political power of photography, even sparking protests that led to panel talks and public dialogue across the Netherlands.
